Lough Neagh

Lough Neagh is a large freshwater lake in the centre of Northern Ireland. It is the largest lake in Northern Ireland, supplying forty percent of its water; the biggest on the island of Ireland, the biggest by area in the United Kingdom, and the biggest by area in the British Isles. The lough is owned by the Earl of Shaftesbury and five of Northern Ireland’s six counties have shores on the Lough.
